SKI, WINE & CULTURE
Ski the Andes. Taste Chile.
This is not your typical ski trip. For eight days, we’ll experience Chilean winter from the mountains to the Pacific, skiing some of the most iconic terrain in the Central Andes while discovering everything that happens beyond the slopes.
We’ll ski Valle Nevado, La Parva and Portillo. But we’ll also eat fresh seafood in the mountains, learn how to make the perfect pisco sour, gather around an outdoor Chilean asado, discover Santiago’s food scene, drink wine where it’s made and finish the journey watching the sunset over Valparaíso.
We travel in a small group of no more than 10 people, staying in carefully selected places and exploring with our Local Legends.
We take care of the logistics so you can focus on the important stuff:
Ski. Eat. Drink. Explore. Repeat.
Come for the snow. Stay for the culture.

WHY SKI, WINE & CULTURE? *
Chile is one of the few places where you can wake up surrounded by the Andes, ski all day, drink wine where it was made and finish your journey overlooking the Pacific. So why make it just a ski trip?
We want to experience Chilean winter differently.
Through the mountains, yes.
But also through its food, wine, people and culture.
From pisco sours in Farellones to an outdoor asado in the Andes, great restaurants in Santiago and wine country on our way to Valparaíso.
This is the Do Local way of skiing Chile.

THREE MOMENTS YOU’LL REMEMBER
-

THE ANDES WILL BE YOUR PLAYGROUND

-

APRÈS-SKI, THE CHILEAN WAY
Forget the standard après-ski bar. After a day on the mountain, we’ll gather for fresh Chilean seafood and learn how to make one of the country’s most iconic drinks: the pisco sour. Machas a la parmesana. A shaker in your hand. The Andes in front of you. That’s more our style.
-

FROM THE ANDES TO THE PACIFIC
Eventually, we’ll leave our ski boots behind. We'll travel through Chilean wine country, stop at a vineyard and continue all the way to the colourful hills of Valparaíso. From snow-covered mountains to Chilean wine and the Pacific Ocean. All in one journey.

MORE DETAILS
-
After spending the day outside, where you come home to matters.
In Farellones, we'll stay in a small mountain lodge that gives us the feeling we're looking for: intimate, warm and close to the mountains.
As we move through the journey, our accommodation changes with us from the mountains of Portillo to a boutique stay in Santiago and finally Valparaíso.
Single, double or triple? You choose.
Just let us know your preferred room setup when booking and we'll take care of the rest. Rates may vary depending on occupancy and availability.
-
We don't treat meals as the space between activities.
They're part of the expedition.
Fresh seafood in the mountains. Pisco sours after skiing. An outdoor Chilean asado. A special dinner in Santiago. Wine where it's made.
Some meals will be refined.
Others might happen outside with ski boots nearby.
Both matter.
All meals throughout the expedition are included. If you have any allergies or dietary requirements, please let us know when booking so we can make the necessary arrangements.
-
We created Do Local because we believe travel should give something back to the places that give us so much.
Throughout the expedition, we prioritise local guides, locally owned businesses, small-scale accommodation and people who have a real connection to the places we visit.
But we want to go further.
Part of the value created through our expeditions will support conservation and ecosystem restoration initiatives in Chile.
Travellers will also have the opportunity to make an additional voluntary contribution.
Because protecting a place shouldn't be separate from travelling through it.
It should be part of the journey.
-
This expedition is for travellers who love skiing but don't want their entire experience of Chile to happen inside a ski resort.
You should be comfortable spending several days skiing and moving between destinations, but equally excited about long lunches, local food, wine, culture and discovering what happens beyond the mountain.
You don't need to be the best skier in the group.
You do need to be curious.
-
Maximum 10 travellers.
Small enough to move easily.
Small enough to eat around one table.
Small enough to actually get to know the people you're travelling with.
That's intentional.
-
-
-
No. But you should already know how to ski and feel comfortable spending several days on the mountain.
Once the final mountain program is confirmed, we'll communicate the recommended ski level more specifically.
-
You can, but you don't necessarily have to. Rental arrangements will be communicated before departure.
-
We're travelling through the Andes in winter, so flexibility is part of the adventure.
Snow, wind and road conditions can affect mountain operations. Our team will adapt the itinerary when necessary, always prioritising safety and the quality of the experience.
-
Flights are not included
We'll provide recommended arrival and departure windows so the group can coordinate transfers.
