Do Local Travel was born from one powerful question: why do people truly travel?
After years exploring the world, skiing the Andes and connecting with travellers across cultures, our founder set out to discover what makes a journey genuinely meaningful. More than six years ago, stepping away from the traditional business and traditional tourism, she chose a different path: one that sought the true heart of travel in a fast-paced modern world.
With a backpack and a camera, she began interviewing travellers, surfers, skiers, and creatives across multiple countries, always asking the same question:
“Why do you love travelling?”
The answer was never just about the destinations.
It was about freedom, human connection, nature, sport, food, culture and purpose.
That shared perspective became a documentary.
The documentary grew into a movement.
And that movement became a boutique travel agency connecting Australia and South America.
That’s how Do You was born.
And that’s how Do Local Travel evolved.
